Version 23.1 was the last of its kind. There are no updates to it. Version 3.0 was an entirely "new, from the ground up" program, designed to be compatible with the newer Windows operation systems, not v23.1. All new Print Shop programs are updates from v3.0. I have just downloaded windows 10 on my laptop (I have 2 computers). I had uninstalled The Print Shop 23.1 before I downloaded per the instructions on one of these boards to have the best chance of being able to run 23.1 Deluxe on it. I will be re-installing it on there and I am really hoping that it works without any glitches. I absolutely love that version and that is what I'm used to. If you have any input on that, let me know. I'm still hanging onto Win7. I find that printing directly from v23.1 produces sharper images than printing directly from v4.0. However, since I get most of my color printing done professionally via PDF upload, I have to use other programs that allow me to create a PDF with embedded fonts. So I will often create the graphical layout in Print Shop and export as JPG. I import the JPG to MS Word or Serif PagePlus, add my text, then print to PDF. nancy1965 ->

You have projects that you created inolder versions of The Print Shop, on your old computer. Youbought a new computer with Win 8.1. Since your old version ofThe Print Shop won't run on your new computer, you installed ThePrint Shop 3.5.But what if your projects are olderthan version 21? Even though they are too old to be openedwith TPS3.5, there is a work-around.The JPG file format is compatible withall graphics programs, on all computers, so let's create JPGs fromyour old projects.Boot up your old computer and openyour old Print Shop program. Open a project.Remove elements that you don't want tobe permanent. In this example, I want to be able to change mymenu items and prices, so I delete this text box.Everything else, I want "fixed", so Iam ready to create my JPG.File> Export As... brings upthe Export As dialog box.Change the resolution to 300 dpi,necessary for high quality printing.Give your JPG a name. Save astype: JPEG or jpg.I suggest you save it on a memorystick so that you can easily transfer your JPG file to your newcomputer.On your new computer, open TPS3.5.Start a new project. Click the My Photos icon to import yourJPG. If you have already experienced adding photos to yourprojects in this program before, you'll notice that the procedureis exactly the same.Browse to where your JPG is stored(memory stick) and select the file. Its thumbnail is added tothe Photos Gallery. Click on it and the JPG appears in yourproject.Size and position your newgraphic.
