About Toad for mysql
Toad for mysql Posted by: lbevans10 Date: October 12, 2006 10:09AM I am using Toad for Mysql and I am having an annoying problem, that I'm wondering if anyone else has come across. I run a query from Toad (select * from account). I get the results and see the result set. Then I have a program run (on a seperate computer to load a bunch of records into the Account table from a flat file). Then I go back to Toad and rerun my query (select * from account). The results do not change, even though everything worked okay with the load. The problem I have noticed is that Toad keeps an open transaction on the database and it doesn't timeout for a little while. I have changed the timeout parameter to 1 second, but this is still annoying. I don't make changes to the database via the Toad results set, so I'm wondering if there is anyway to make the Toad editor not use a transaction and just always query the database again every time I run a query and the result set will just always be read only.
