Hi All,I am new to XnView, and to the forum.I am trying to distinguish what the major differences are between XnView Classic and XnView MP.Is there any type of chart posted online that distinguishes the differences in features? XnView MP has a new, more attractive, interface implemented using the Qt tool set, now supports almost all the functions available in 'Classic plus some additional functions, with the file browser in particular considerably enhanced, widely acclaimed, and currently undergoing further development in response to user suggestions. It is also available as 64-bit versions, and importantly is cross-platform with support for Mac and Linux. Edit: XnView MP importantly also has full Unicode support. I'm on Windows. How many are not?Qt? What is the advantage? It's a huge "framework" and can't work faster. Not a native Windows' app look. Tabs OVER the main menu. Not a native tree-view without lines like normal explorer in windows 7. Has this type of tree-view any advantages? Probably "windows 10" explorer hasn't these "lines", but has "windows 10" any advantages?Was it necessary to change something that was working well? I don't like folders hanging in the space.Features? Claiming that MP supports "500" formats means that Classic support less? How much? I haven't seen.Why "the features" can't be developed in Classic?You can reimplement WHOLE program on Qt and can't implement SOME features in existing app?Interface? Subjectively. I haven't seen any advantages but found some disadvantages. It even can't stop opening a new tab for every image and not closing it when returning to the browser.Abandoning the Classic is not

XnView MP 0.97 on Windows 11Is there a built-in method to manage Favorites after they've been added? I realize I can right-click and rename, delete, etc. but there doesn't appear to be a way to move an entry in the list. I've tried editing and saving bookmark.ini (with XnView closed) but the changes I make aren't reflected when I restart XnView. It always reverts to how it was before editing and indeed, even after closing XnView again bookmark.ini stays as I edited it (i.e., it doesn't revert to match the GUI). For example, with XnView closed I edit %APPDDATA%\Roaming\XnViewMP\bookmark.ini to look like this and save it:Code: Select all"Downloads"*"C:/Users/XXXXXX/Downloads/""images (local)"*"C:/data/images/""Our-photos (local)"*"C:/data/images/Our-photos/""working (local)"*"C:/data/images/working/""images (nas01)"*"Z:/XXXXXX/data/images/""Our-photos (nas01)"*"Z:/XXXXXX/data/images/Our-photos/""working (nas01)"*"Z:/XXXXXX/data/images/working/"Note aside from my Downloads folder there are two "matching" sets of three paths, one set on C: and the other set on Z: (grouped C: first then Z:). I then launch XnView and the Favorites pane looks like this:The same paths but not in the order as in bookmark.ini. They're still in the order they were added, before I edited bookmark.ini.Thanks. But I managed to reedit and make it functional by performing a full removal and reinstallation of MP 1.3.0. As a preliminary step, I copied and pasted and saved bookmark.ini's content on
